DESCRIPTION

Our Onyx Black Thoroughbred bike is named after the magnificent hot blooded horses adored by the racing world. Known for their elegant, spirited and athletic demeanour they perfectly reflect the character of these bikes. 

Designed in our London studio for smooth swift and stylish travel, the Thoroughbred's high tensile diamond shaped frame and perfectly balanced gearing gives remarkable strength to weight ratio guaranteeing a comfortable and exhilarating ride. Frames are fitted with eyelets for mounting items such as bottles, racks, baskets and guards. 

Stitched vegan leather saddle and handgrips give a luxury feel and with three striking colourways to choose from, this classic city bike with a fiery edge is perfect for city travel - turning heads as you go!

All our bikes are dmade from quality components (scroll down for spec) that last the distance. So much so that every bike comes with a lifetime guarantee.

Because your new bike is delivered in a box it comes 85% assembled so you'll need to do things like put the front wheel and seat on. This is very straight forward and takes no time at all, however if you'd rather call in the experts then just ask your local bike repair shop to do this for you. WHAT IS A SINGLE SPEED / FIXED GEAR BIKE?

Its bloody awesome thats what it is! Often referred to as the purest form of cycling, these bikes have one gear and magically it always seems to be the one you need, designed for both quick acceleration and fast cruising speeds. Their elegant, low maintenance simplicity makes them a perfect commuter or adventure buddy, allowing you to forget the bike and just enjoy the ride. 

Both gearless bikes, single speeds allow the back wheel to move independently of the pedals whereas with a fixie your pedals move with the rotation of your back wheel.

Steed Bikes come with a “flip-flop” rear wheel allowing you to set up as either a single speed or a fixie. All bikes are delivered as single speeds with freewheel sprocket for independent pedal movement. To set up as a fixie you will need to flip the wheel around and use the fixed sprocket located on the other side. Simple!
